Proverbs Studio

2025 was a year of quiet growth for our little studio. We never take lightly the faith each Proverbs Bride places in us, choosing to trust our hands, our process, and our discipline in craft. Every gown begins with responsibility, and we remain deeply aware of the weight of that trust. This past year also marked a season of change and strengthening within our team. From 2024 to 2025, we learned what it means to work with greater intention, patience, and care for the details that often go unseen. We are especially grateful to Tabitha, who founded Proverbs Studio in 2019 and laid the groundwork for everything we continue to build today. Thank you for your vision, your courage, and the path you paved. We look forward with joy as you step into a new chapter in Melbourne. Thank you as well to Jess and Amelia, who each took a leap of faith to journey alongside us. Your commitment to the work, the process, and the standards we hold has shaped this studio more than words can say. Jess came to us with a clear vision for her piece, an ivory strapless floaty gown that we first hand-pleated before finishing it with a machine to create this unique piece. From the sweetheart neckline to waist accentuating detail and custom dupatta to embrace her groom's culture, every single element of this gown was carefully considered over the span of almost a year. Every interaction from our first consultation to fittings has been so wonderfully warm and memorable, thank you for entrusting us to create this dream of a gown with you and for all the intimate moments we got to witness along the way. This is truly one we will hold close to our hearts for a long time.

Journeying with so many mothers through bridal fittings has taught me so much as a mother myself. As mothers, I think our natural instinct is often to voice our own preferences, to protect, to guide, and sometimes to hold on a little tighter than we realise. Yet watching the mothers who walk closely with their daughters through these sessions constantly reminds me that there is also love in stepping back gently. To support their daughters through such a pivotal season, even when it feels bittersweet. To allow space for them to become fully themselves, while still being there every step of the way. Real moments when a most supportive mommy teared up as she realised her little girl was about to become someone’s wife. These moments linger with me. We know many of our brides over the years have now become mothers themselves, and that feels especially meaningful to witness too. Wishing all moms a Happy Mother’s Day❤️ P.S. Bride asked for a gatsby-themed look and we immediately got down to work! I was immediately drawn to the angles and sharpness of her features (and personality!) and play that to her advantage with a strong and smokey look. Capsule III - We know how much our brides love the minimalism behind our designs & with this capsule, we wanted to explore just a little more, without losing that essence. Soft French lace layered with much restraint, micropleated chiffon over satin, sheer silk chiffon in motion, sculpted draping, and delicate 3D florals. Even a quiet touch of colour, introduced through embroidered organza. Pushing the limits, while staying grounded in minimalism.
