A collection of washi paper sculptures that come alive as a living composition through animated light sequences, created using Protopixel tools. Our technology facilitated work across scales simultaneously, from a single lamp to the choreography of an entire room, synchronizing a large number of light sources into a cohesive installation. Laser Faces, an ephemeral installation by @antoniarola_ and @antoniarola_studio for #LlumBCN 2026. Through laser light, a three-dimensional path traced the streets of the city: guiding pedestrians, activating architecture, and redefining the urban journey. Dynamic lighting is key if you want to bring static structures to life. The entrance of Orac's showroom in Barcelona is the perfect example. Conceived as a threshold rather than a simple point of access, the intervention introduces movement, rhythm, and material depth to the ribbed structure. The design reframes the entrance as a gesture, a midpoint between street and interiors. The Warrington Wolves’ stadium case is a great example of how light can do more than illuminate - becoming part of the atmosphere itself. Protopixel’s plug-and-play approach helped to remove all technical friction and let the artists focus entirely on creative composition: “Working with colored light, the smallest changes in intensity, saturation, or hue make a significant difference in how colors mix and contrast within a space. Laser Faces, 2026 @antoniarola_ - Laser Faces és una instal·lació efímera que, mitjançant la llum, traça un recorregut tridimensional pels carrers de Barcelona i estableix un diàleg amb l’arquitectura urbana. La proposta explora noves formes d’il·luminació a l’espai públic, plantejant el làser com un element transgressor capaç d’il·luminar els carrers, orientar el vianant i redefinir la percepció del seu trajecte urbà, alhora que reflexiona sobre la foscor com a estratègia més sostenible i menys invasiva. En el marc del festival Llum BCN 2026, Laser Faces traçarà una ruta per als visitants i interactuarà amb la Torre Glòries, generant una animació de píxels i l’aparició de cares anònimes sobre la seva façana generant un escenari disruptiu.
