Indian videogames have been doing well in recent times and there are many successful indie titles. What was missing was perhaps a documentation of how the developers make their games by the developers themselves, especially in book form. In the collaborative project with Niku Games (Mridul Kashatria and Mala Sen) and under the aegis of the SERB (now ANRF)- INAE funding for developing industry-academia connects for videogame development and research, we present to you our book, "Making of Palace on the Hill" on the experience of making an indie videogame in India. I am grateful to the SERB(ANRF)-INAE and CSSSC for making this possible.
We welcome your thoughts. The book is also available as a freely downloadable e-book.
