I'm going to be completely honest, I haven't done my part to stay fully informed or take action with the black lives matter movement. I have experienced racism through out my life, but always did my best to look on the brighter side of things. I've always felt that if I treat other with respect, the same would be returned. I'm grateful for the freedoms I have, but there is so much more that needs to be done. With every new clip I see, the more I realize I've been living in a bubble. I've been far too passive and need to start speaking up. I'm a second generation African America with my parents both coming from Tanzania. So my experience in America was a little different. I plan to help the cause by getting informed and educated on black history (more then the basics from school). Then do what I do, and thats CREATE. Art is a powerful tool when used right. We can all help make change happen. Don't let not being at the protest stop you from fighting. We all have a role to play in this so lets unite for black lives. ✊🏾

Life can be very interesting if you change perspective on things... Be proud of what you have, be proud you made it this far, be proud you can aways start a new journey.
I've been on my grind for about 8 years now. All I knew when I started was I wanted to continue to create like I get too on the dance floor. I knew my body couldnt handle dancing for a living so I had to find something else.
I'm very happy and fulfilled with my career, but it's hard to hold on to my free time. My focus right now is to improve on that. I can tell you work doesn't feel like work, my days are a mix of looking at pictures/videos for ideas, inspiration, experimenting with different mediums of creative, and I get to learn new things everyday. It does come with a lot of pressure and competition but I love it!
It's hard to put all that I've gone threw into words but... be patient, work your face off, and fuck anyone that tells you "you can't." Even if that's your family.
