⚾️BASEBALL SENIOR NIGHT MAY 11TH!⚾️
Come to the Prospect baseball field TODAY to support our baseball team as they face Evergreen Valley and cheer on the seniors at their last home game! See you there! 🧢⚾️
This past weekend, 36 students and 13 mentors were joined by 52,000 robotics students and fans in Houston, TX, seeing talks, new tech demonstrations, teams and robots from all over the world (16 countries!) and, of course, competing with our robot. After 125 qualifying rounds, we ranked 24th out of 75 teams in our division. For the first time in team history, we became the first pick of the 2nd seeded Alliance at Worlds (making us the 4th most desired team in the division!). After getting through 4/5 rounds in playoffs, we became semifinalists of our division! Our incredible performance now makes us part of the top 2.3% of teams in the US and worldwide! Within the 2 short weeks between our last competition and worlds, we’ve rebuilt our shooter mechanism and overall archetype of our robot, increasing our shooting rate by x3! We set the 3rd highest score in the world of 879 points as well as the highest losing score in the world of 750 points. Students also attended conferences, the innovation fair and several girls on the team attended the SWEnext mixer, showing off their offseason shooter subsystem and speaking with the Society of Women Engineers CEO and HQ staff! Everyone was hyped up as we competed alongside 599 of the other best teams in the world :)
