Where do I even begin writing about Kohrra 2?
In the current climate, it’s incredibly hard to make a show at all, that itself feels like a win.
But to make something as great as Kohrra… that feels almost unimaginable. A feat only a rare few can achieve.
Because Kohrra isn’t really a murder mystery.
(Maybe it becomes one… at the end.)
To me, it feels more like a therapy session.
A space where you watch characters peel away their layers, one by one — and eventually, behind the mask, you don’t just discover them…
You discover yourself.
Looking straight back at you through the screen.
It’s scary at times.
But mostly, it’s cathartic.
Deeply human.
And strangely satisfying in the way only honesty can be.
And above all, I feel proud because so many of my friends, my partners in past crimes, have come together to create something this beautiful. A piece of art that stays with you.
Finally, to all my friends, filmmakers, and cinephiles — celebrate a show like Kohrra. Because if stories like this work today, then more stories like this will get made tomorrow.
