A lot has happened in the past 24hours, which is totally beyond my comprehension. Omo, l’ve cried, I’ve begged God, I’ve done everything within my power but it is what it is.
So I woke up yesterday and realized I’ve been logged out of my business WhatsApp (08168834180), at first I thought it was some hacking attempt but after making series of calls to Mtn office, I realized they had sold my phone number to someone else. Mind you, this is a number l’ve been using since the past 8years, l’ve been here in China for more than 6years and I’ve always made sure all my Niger numbers stay active just to avoid issues like this. I cried so bad yesterday that I became ill, had to visit hospital to get medications otherwise maybe I’ll be in ER by now.

I spent over N50,000 calling mtn office yesterday, international call is freaking expensive so you can imagine.
I had to drop a message with my sister about the whole thing before she woke up yesterday and immediately she woke up, as early as 8am, she was at Mtn’s office and all they could tell her was that we can only try and beg the new owner and see if he/she can sell the sim back to us.
They said the number has been inactive and that’s why they sold it, which is obviously a pure lie because for over six years since I’ve left the country, l’ve made sure to keep both of my number active but well, it is what it is.
We’ve been trying to call the new owner since yesterday morning but it’s been very hard communicating with her, maybe she thinks it’s some kind of scam or so.
