If you feel angry about the world and don’t know how to get involved, if you want to connect with likeminded activists, or if you want a space to find a shared passion for justice, Proposition Mole introduces a third space for political organizers. Disturbance: An Anarchist Jazz Speakeasy coming to the Neighbor’s Pub on Sunday April 12th with a live jazz band and local activist speakers! The birth of jazz was a protest that revolutionized art, music, dance, communication, and social change. The rebellion of jazz inspired a cultural shift in the world and brought connection and passion to society. We need this fire and community more than ever right now, so next month we are taking the passion of jazz back into our community and gathering to connect with new people, new ideas, and be inspired by jazz once again! Wear your 1920s-40s black tie ensemble and dance to the incredible tunes of Simon Russell’s trio. Learn together as we listen to local speakers, share resources, zines, ideas, and get involved! As leftists, we must stand together and stand tall! Join us as a united community 🎹🎶❤️ The Neighbor’s Pub @theneighborspub Simon Russell trio @groovewars April 12th Doors at 5:30 Event 6-9pm 18+ with valid physical ID $5-25 sliding scale Dress code: 1920s-40s black tie Together we stand in solidarity with the victims of imperialism across the globe ☭ FREE PALESTINE! What an incredible WHACK-A-MOLE! ‘Til Death Do Us Part 🥀🕯️🖤 fundraiser, drag show, and dance party earlier this month brought dark and weird Valentine’s performances to the @moesalley stage. We feel so incredibly honored to be able to hold these safe spaces where we are able to uplift queer art, educate our neighbors, and raise money for critical issues here in Santa Cruz and across the world. This month, we shared resources and raised money for the vile crises of Sudan and Congo, two of the world’s worst humanitarian crises today, and in recorded history. These are wars against innocent women and children and together we were able to raise $2060 at this show to send to Focus Congo, Panzi Foundation, Sudanese Relief Fund, and UN Women’s Sudan fund. This money is directly being used to supply food, water, shelter, medical care, mental health care, education, and safe havens for victims. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts to everyone who came out to support the show and to everyone who donated. Because of all of you, we were able to help some civilians of Sudan and Congo and that is one step towards freedom and justice. Thank you to all of our incredible performers for bringing your art to our stage and making our show possible! Thank you to our vendors for the craft you bring our community and to @yarr.scc for bringing resources to keep our community safe from ICE! Thank you to @moesalley for allowing us the incredible space to do what we do ❤️ and thank you to @dj.croptop_ for keeping the night going with the sick tunes! Lastly, thank you to @heart1ucy and @sophia.pillitteri for the wonderful pictures and videos :) We are so grateful for this community, for the incredible art being shared, for the openness of everyone to hold spaces to discuss important issues in the world and make action together, for the love of one another, celebration of queer pride, and everyone’s own unique culture and background. We are here to stand together through art and action one step at a time in this fascist, white-supremacist, imperialist world. Until next time… FREE SUDAN🇸🇩 FREE CONGO🇨🇩 FREE PALESTINE🇵🇸 FREE IRAN🇮🇷 FUCK ICE CHINGA LA MIGRA!🇲🇽❤️

We are so honored to be able to hold events like this. This Friday we were joined with amazing performers protesting the immigration policy of this administration! We can’t express enough how full our hearts are from being able to create this space for beautiful artists to share their voices and create community. We were able to raise $707 to split between the ACLU, the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area, and immigrant families in need of legal support via GoFundMe. A special thanks to @melomelosantacruz for allowing us this space and @willow_uh_oh for taking these beautiful photos. And please go show some love to our performers: @above_and_beyond_831 @ysol.v @salsacumbiandomextizo @papi.payaso @splatterpunkshawty @morticia.mayhem @malagrena There are some resources linked in our bio for red cards, legal support, and places to donate to organizations and loved ones. Remember we are strong together in this fight. ¡CHINGA LA MIGRA! 🇲🇽❤️
