Would you believe us if we told you our bride read over 150 novels this year? 📚 It’s true! So it felt only fitting to take a page from Emily & Matthew’s love story and author a celebration worthy of a page-turner.
Our journey with this family began at Emily’s sister’s wedding at the NYPL back in December of 2023. The twins, lovingly self-proclaimed as fire and ice, couldn’t be more different in vision. Melissa embraced old world charm, while Emily dreamed of something soft, ethereal, and whimsical. 🌅
This time, the story unfolded along the shoreline of Mecox Bay. You may have seen this tent in black, but likely not in ivory. Drenched in golden hour light (almost as if the sun had been a paid actor), we transformed the space into something that felt reminiscent of the inside of a home. 🏡
Think intimate nook seating, custom ruffled linens, and an artful mix of chairs gave the space a collected, lived-in charm. 🪑 Even the hand-painted menus by @vidhidattanidesigns leaned into the idea of home, inspired by a cherished photo of Emily’s family property. 🎨
On the hand painted dance floor, guests found themselves in a conservatory-like dream: faux-bois columns framed the space, while custom pergola bars stood on either side. Behind them, a backdrop of indigenous birds, butterflies, and swans echoed the sights and sounds that welcomed guests on their way to the tent. 🦢🦋🐦
Every detail was crafted to honor Emily & Matthew’s story while setting the stage for their next chapter: one as timeless and compelling as the novels she treasures.

This month’s Design Style Study explores the Rococo Movement! 🇫🇷✨
A flamboyant awakening of 18th-century French excess, the Rococo style takes its cues from the original Rococo Period: lavish scrollwork, florals, gilded ornamentation, and playful sensuality.💐🪞
Emerging in the mid-19th century and revisited again through waves of fashion, film, and interiors alike. This style is decorative, dainty, and dramatic.
Asymmetry, pastel hues, and rich materials like carved mahogany and damask define the look. Often mistaken for Baroque, Rococo stands apart in its lighter, more romantic, flirtatiousness. This style is ideal for sets that demand both beauty and excess.👨🏻🎨👑
