Great day of retail therapy with Jordan at the Duncan Robert’s/Boyd Suttie auction this collection has been a treasure trove for the Toronto film community for years and I am honored to be a custodian of some of these items. #props

From the first read of @keriferencz script I had this image in my head. Sometimes you get the chance to work with someone that just clicks, and that’s how I felt/feel about the collaboration we had on what is my first directing gig. So please whatever you are doing, Drop it on Monday night (March 30 for those who read this in the future 😜) and watch Murdoch Mysteries episode 19 of Season 19. We’re gonna have so much fun. The Newsome Diorama. This was a fun collab between depts to get it built. Ryan in the art department drew up the mansion for CNC cutting, Jordan in Sets built the little fires and log piles as well as having the tents and lifeguard chairs made. In keeping with the Newsome wackiness I had elephants and crocodiles alongside Zulu warrriors, British Bobbie’s and war of 1812 soldiers. And because this was built in the heat of the summer, alit of the assembly and paining of ye mansion took place on my back deck😜. #props #Murdochmysteries @cbcmurdoch
Usually I play with small cameras. But going to try and restore and “propify” this ex CBC 1950’s Marconi mK III. The foam is to remove the guts to lighten and the. Install a small camera in the front and a led screen in the viewer so it will display an image. Wire all the lights up to be wirk on a toggle. I have 2. So one will be gutted and one will stay original. First image is a render of what it should look like. #props #marconi #broadcast #television #cbc
