On May 1st, Proper Pull returns for our biggest rave yet, channeling it’s communal, freewheeling energy into distillery for the second time. For this we are bringing two world-class artists to Leipzig, not as a commercial showcase but for the heads and their labor of love to keep the city’s rave continuum alive. Upstairs, International powerhouse BRAVA (@untalasalsa ) takes the reins with a fiery, vocal-driven performance anchoring a set ranging from dripping dembow and miami bass to the craziest footwork and ghettotech. This high-voltage assault is flanked by Ruby Cube (@icu.ruby ) from Leipzig bass collective @digitaldreamgeneration , and our own residents @tosui_of_97 , and nea.cuajo (@aarvr ), guaranteeing unrelenting bass with weight, broken structures, and sweat-slicked euphoria throughout the evening. Downstairs, we explore the more psychedelic and darker side of Proper Pull. Copenhagen’s DJ IBON (@dogdream_10.000 ) commands the room with his fearless sound and productions ranging a broad spectrum of hard dance full of sacred melodies, cold psychedelia and a heavy artillery of sounds. Matching his relentless stride are DJ Fairytail (@kruegerlara ) b2b snackbites (@tzzzzz1011000110101110011 ) from Leipzig collective @spl1nter.cell keeping you locked in until the early hours and @erla.sleeps b2b @yung_jacop , engineering a deep, sonically rich trip for the opening. As with every Proper Rave, we want to create a safer space at distillery where everybody feels comfortable, so we kindly ask you to respect your own and the boundaries of others. We do not tolerate any sexism, racism or other discriminatory behaviour. There will be an awareness team on site throughout the evening. About four years ago a small group of people organized a little rave in the outskirts of Leipzig and decided to further explore this companionship by founding Proper Pull. First starting with the concept of Proper Charts, their goal was to strengthen the diversity of the local underground scene and give a platform to more unknown artists and DJs. None of us really could’ve foreseen that over 120 episodes of Proper Charts and numerous raves later, Proper Pull would be a lively entity in the local scene, even taking the concept of representation a step further by founding our own independent label. So we want to take this four year anniversary of the first embers of our collaboration as an occasion to revel in some old and new memories but also to give a big THANK YOU and lots of hugs and kisses to all the amazing people who accompanied us on this way. Thanks to all our ex-members for your effort and time, making Proper Pull what it is today. Thanks to the huge number of friends and family who continued to support and help us with awareness, bar shifts and countless other small tasks – without you, we couldn’t have realized so many big projects. Thanks to all the amazing artists that played music at our events or have given us their time and creativity to realize our own sonic and visual concepts. Thanks to all producers for their trust in us to release their music on a completely new and inexperienced label. And lastly big thanks to the local club scene – be it other collectives or club owners who have given us trust again and again to share our musical vision with the public. With that said – we are hugely excited for what’s to come, as our next release looms on the horizon. And while the local club landscape continues to be challenging, we are also looking forward to further Proper Raves and some other musical expeditions as well as another 100 episodes of Proper Charts. Proper Charts [live] •˚₊‧⋆. 26.04. ₊‧.°.⋆ 17-19 •˚₊‧⋆@sphere.radio Proper Charts comes to you this week with a later kick off and two break and bass music power houses. First slim_aguilera returns to Leipzig after he recently moved to Berlin for a proper catch up. Originally coming from a hip-hop and trap music background, he has since then found his way to breaks, bass and footwork. slim_aguilera also hosts a mix series called ‘Phone Call’, in which he showcases all of these genres and more. After that Leipzig based producer and DJ Max Krach comes by for a quick chat about his recent projects and of course his current 5 favorite tracks. He also hosts a radio show on sphere called @snare.affair which also serves as the name for his own party series. Part 4 of 'Resident Intro' - Here We Go! w/ @discobabe2 Born originally in Halle, discobabe2 joined Proper Pull as our latest member when she moved to Leipzig. Always open minded for new sonic experiences, her sets smoothly dance between house, techno, breaks, dubstep, jungle and d'n'b. This set was recorded at our last rave at Kulturlounge and offers the same genrebending selection while juggling different bpms throughout.

✧･ﾟ: ✧･ﾟ: Episode 136 presented by @the_micronaut :･ﾟ✧:･ﾟ✧ Rostock native Stefan Streck, also known as The Micronaut, initially felt more rooted in the hardcore and grindcore scenes until he discovered new sounds through scoring film projects. His musical focus nowadays lies in combining orchestral sounds with playful beats. The mix of electronica, samples, and live guitar makes The Micronaut's sound truly unique. Live, he captivates audiences with energetic, enthusiastic, and always honest sets that create a dynamic musical interplay. For episode 135 she presents five records reflecting her own musical taste and influences.  This months Proper Charts showcases two producers from Leipzig from two different generations. For episode 135, uusoca returns to Proper Pull after her vinyl set at last years Sleeve instore session. Still at the start of her producing career, she blends her classical musical upbringing in Thuringia with structures and sounds from her musical influences she gained in Leipzig. uusoca is also a DJ, merging house, breaks and electro into atmospheric journeys. We’re also really excited to welcome The Micronaut for episode 136. A producer for over 13 years, he has been carving out his own mix of electronica, sampling and live guitar for quite some time. Proper Pull presents 'Resident Intro 3: Resurrection' - This time, it's personal w/ @yung_jacop Yung Jacob was born and raised in Leipzig and is one of Proper Pulls co-founders. His ever evolving sound involves a omnium gatherum of layered introverted soundscapes and bright emotional rollercoasters. Yung Jacobs influences range from growing up in the 90s/early 2000s and a deep background in metal and hardcore to post-modern trance and bass music.

Part 2 of our set series where we introduce our own DJ members to you: w/ @ch4r20tte Far from outer space comes ch4r20ttes set - delivering a journey between deep, spherical moods and forward driving energy. She effortlessly moves through progressive house, trance, tribal and psy influences, blending spacious textures and hypnotic rhythms. An everbuilding tension is as much part of her signature sound as well as using melodies as a light to guide the way back home.
