Propeller Dance is built on three programming pillars that keep our community moving and growing:
Company – creating powerful performances that celebrate diverse bodies.
Outreach – bringing dance into schools, community spaces, and beyond.
Education – offering inclusive dance classes for all ages and abilities.
Each pillar shines in its own colour. Together, they make Propeller who we are. 🌈 #PropellerDance #InclusiveDance #OttawaArts #accessibilityinthearts

Image Description: A vibrant graphic featuring overlapping starburst shapes in orange, pink, blue, and yellow hues. A dark blue wavy line connects to a glowing star at the top right, resembling a lit sparkler. In the center, white rectangular text boxes with a subtle texture read: “There is a spark in all of us.” The word spark is bold and black, accented by gold star icons on each side. The background radiates energy and warmth, symbolizing creativity, inspiration, and collective potential.
Celebrating our phenomenal Company as we continue to ride the wave of our works-in-progress show What Holds Us.
Our dancers embodied themes of love, pain, grief, power, and pride with striking depth, each movement feeling instinctive and profound. A huge thank you to our choreographers, who embraced the charge of storytelling through inclusive dance with such discipline, care, and artistic brilliance.
We at Propeller Dance are deeply grateful for the many creative minds who came together to bring this powerful work to life.
Special Thank Yous to @gctclive , ODD, @dunamisfitnessstudio fir your support throughout the season. Also shout out to @ottawafringe and @saintlo_ottawa_jail for your generosity during our production week! 💗

Meet Propeller Dance!
@propellerdance
The image 1 shows a stage performance in a dark theatrical space with focused lighting. Moni sits in a powered wheelchair near the center of the stage, illuminated by a soft spotlight. Sylvain is positioned behind and slightly to the side, leaning forward and holding onto the back of Moni’s wheelchair. An empty manual wheelchair is visible further to the right, highlighted by red stage light. The reflective stage floor and black background draw attention to the connection between the two performers and the wheelchairs.
The image 2 shows a stage performance in a softly lit space. Liz sits in a manual wheelchair at the center of the frame. Nathalie is positioned on top of Liz, leaning backward so that Nathalie’s upper body extends outward while Nathalie’s legs rest across Liz’s lap. Both wear blue garments that visually connect their bodies. The wheelchair’s wheels and frame are visible, grounding the pose. The wooden stage floor is evenly lit, and the background remains dark and uncluttered, drawing attention to the intertwined arrangement of the two performers.

Joyeuse Journée Internationale de la danse!
Rencontrez Propeller Dance!
