⚔️🏛️ The sword of Maximus lives on.
In Gladiator II (2024), Lucius (Paul Mescal) wielded his father, Maximus Decimus Meridius’ iconic arena sword while leading the gladiators’ revolt within the Colosseum. First seen in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator (2000), the eagle-headed weapon wielded by Russell Crowe became one of the most recognizable swords in modern cinema.
This spare stunt sword was carefully constructed from the design of Maximus’ original hero sword and produced by Cineco Props, the prop house behind numerous weapons made for the film. Crafted for stunt use, it faithfully recreates the legendary weapon’s unmistakable look and detailing.
Even more meaningful, all hammer price proceeds from this lot will be donated to the Samaritans charity. ❤️
