As 2025 draws to a close, we're reflecting on a busy year at @copperboxarena , where we worked in partnership with the venue team to keep over 165,000 customers safe across over 45 events - successfully delivering over 3,750 staff-hours, deploying medical doctors, registered nurses, paramedics, non-registered healthcare professionals, pre-hospital providers, secondary responders, tactical (silver) commanders & operational (bronze) commanders. Just like 2024, we've @jubileechurchlondon for their New Year's Eve Crossover Service, giving thanks for everything that has happened. Welcoming 2026, our staff on duty will be celebrating with a non-alcoholic toast, gearing up for what is already a busy year. Our team have been trusted by @copperboxarena to look after Handball Society's guests this afternoon - with a fully furnished medical facility, and kit available throughout the arena, our caring clinical staff are well-prepared for all eventualities. The All Star Game from @handballsociety_ldn has some of the most legendary players from different countries, bringing excitement to Handball fans at Copper Box Arena today! The game was also broadcast live and available to watch on Youtube. We don't leave anything to chance at ProMed - all staff are provided with a written briefing, which is backed up with a verbal brief at the beginning of their shift. Our recent schedule has consisted of major sporting events including @utstour and @eurocup Basketball at Copperbox Arena across multiple days, we’ve had Ice Skating events with @skatetw25 for the duration of December, a protest, as well as music and Religious events all the way up to New Year. Last week ProMed provided event medical provision for the highly anticipated @eurocup stage game at Copper Box Arena with London Lions facing @besiktasbasketbol . Looking after the 5,500 passionate fans, and the elite BC London Lions & Besiktas Gain Istanbul basketball teams was ProMed's caring, capable, cheerful clinical staff comprising 4 paramedics, 3 non-registered healthcare professionals, 8 pre-hospital providers & 3 secondary responders. They were supported & led by 2 operational (bronze) commanders & 1 tactical (silver) commander on-site. ProMed's staff are paid a real #LivingWage & a #LivingPension, and regulated by the Health Practice Associates Council (HPAC). All staff received a thorough verbal briefing at the start of their shift, with a written copy, covering the game-specific information, our intent & methods, our administration & communication processes, the game-specific risk assessment including safeguarding matters, and staff welfare needs. Staff were allocated roles in advance for major / mass casualty incidents, cardiac arrest calls, and patient extrication situations, with supporting action cards. Ensuring that all patients received the best possible experience, 2 fully-furnished medical facilities were provided, capable of delivering Advanced Life Support (ALS) care, in addition to treating a wide range of minor illnesses & injuries. These facilities meet & exceed the requirements of the tournament bylaws, with all devices serviced & calibrated at least annually by an external contractor, and checked daily by staff. Our medicines & consumables come from reputable wholesalers, so are traceable with a recall procedure in place. 2 emergency ambulances for off-site conveyance were available at the arena, along with an incident support unit packed full of mass casualty kit, and a rapid response vehicle (with contingency medical devices, consumables & medicines) was staged off-site but close by.
