Project 2025, published in 2023 by the Heritage Foundation, is an agenda for the Trump presidency that has at its foundation the Unitary Executive Theory, which asserts that the president has complete control over the executive branch. —This is the first in a series of articles about Project Esther, a Heritage Foundation initiative that seeks to suppress speech and protest under the pretense of combating antisemitism.—
In response to Palestinian/anti-genocide protests that occurred on college campuses and in communities throughout the United States in 2024, the right-wing think tank Heritage Foundation developed and published Project Esther (PE), a comprehensive plan that uses Jewish fears of antisemitism as a cover to destroy civil liberties and suppress criticism of the Israeli government and U.S. involvement in the Gaza genocide. According to Heritage, PE seeks to “simultaneously neutralize the domestic tension placed on the U.S.–Israel relationship and counter the related rise in antisemitism across the United States, which threatens not just the American Jewish community, but America itself.” Read more on our Facebook page.
