Movember wrap up - we are having fun, doing good.
Another Mo season done, and one Iāll be forever proud of. This year we ticked over $100,000 raised for
@movember across all of our community events the last 4 years, we have had over 3000 attendees but whatās most important is we have started countless conversations around the importance of Menās Health in our community.
I always believe the best way to wrap this month up would for me to ask you to think about what menās health means to you, and how does it affect you. To me, menās health is in crisis, and I want to try do my bit, so that society as a whole is better.
When men are well, the benefits ripple through families and communities, we have better partners, better fathers, better brothers and better mates. However when men are unwell, and unsupported, we all feel it.
It isnāt just about men, we are all the real face of menās health.
Iām grateful through this campaign for the love and support so many people have given me and these events. Mates like
@jake.mcdowall @fimitri @ollie_mitch coming back for multiple seasons to support our committee. Iām grateful to the 30+ volunteers we had in this space this year also.
I made the decision 11 months ago to withdraw as an official ambassador which was extremely difficult, however paid dividends as this year I had so much in my cup to pour from to be there for mates.
Lastly, Iām grateful for
@sophiemalouf @macauleyryan_ and
@roarreh for the ongoing support over the past 4 years to make
@projectyougroup what it is today. They have made me a better man, and they epitomise Movember and everything it stands for.
Enough out of me now - tell your mates you love them, mine certainly do. Menās health is all year round x
