We do not have to accept guns or gun violence as normal. Guns make us less safe. Spreading that message can change gun culture and save lives even if lawmakers sit on their hands.
Follow us and spread the word: We can change America’s deadly gun culture. It’s our best hope for a safer future.
We’re Project Unloaded, and our approach to ending gun violence starts with the truth: Guns make us less safe.

Everybody’s working on something. For me, it’s showing up, staying disciplined, and using the game to clear my mind. While we’re working on our mental health, having a gun around adds risk. 70% of suicide attempts happen within an hour of the decision. What’s around in that time matters. #ProjectUnloadedPartner #WorkingOnIt #SaferNotUsingGuns
Talk it out. Ask for help. And keep working on it without a gun around.

The numbers don’t lie and neither do we.
Every day in the U.S., more than 130 people are killed by gun violence — and many more are wounded. We also have the highest rate of gun violence in the developed world.
Getting a gun might feel like protection — but the facts tell a different story.
People living in homes with guns face a higher risk of death by suicide, homicide, and accidental shootings. People who carry guns are less safe too. Protection is a good goal, but a gun isn't the way to get there.
