This past Friday, Project Safe celebrated our latest cohort of interns at Memorial Park! We are so proud of all the progress they've made learning about providing services to people experiencing crises. Project Safe has always placed on emphasis on quality education and preparing the next generation to carry our mission forward, and we are so grateful for all of support our interns provide and the preparations they've made for the future.

Dancing with the Athens Stars 2026 alum Bart King is, among many other talents, a children's book author. As part of his #DWAS2026 campaign, Bart donated a PILE of his books for the children in our programs now and in the future to enjoy. At present, there are two children of the appropriate age for these books in our shelter who each received a nicely wrapped collection of four stories, and we know there will be many more kids enjoying these comforting and uplifting stories in the future.
