Let's talk Ketamine!
Like any other drugs remember the principles of harm reduction and start low and go slow and try to have a buddy present.
Remember that the dosing for ketamine is much much smaller than cocaine and that mixing ketamine with cocaine or alcohol increases risks of negative effects.
To stay safer:
- Crush into a fine powder before use
- Always use your own clean snorting tool. Limit how much you use in each nostril per session
- Rinse your nose with saline within 30–60 minutes after use (after the peak effects) to clear out any leftover material and reduce irritation
- Don’t let anyone push you to use
What other harm reduction tips do you have for ketamine specifically?

Yesterday was Overdose Awareness day.
PSA joined many community members and organizations at Winnipeg’s legislature building to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day, uniting in grief, remembrance and a call for urgent action.
Drug overdoses are preventable.
Battling stigma, promoting education and narcan training are some the ways we can prevent overdoses.
