Content Warning: School violence
PAVE Board Member Danielle and her son spoke with KDVR about the Evergreen school shooting. Their story is a powerful reminder that when crises hit close to home, community care matters more than ever.

What an extraordinary night. 💜 Because of this incredible community, Transformations in Bloom exceeded our fundraising goal, raising more than $100,000 in support of Project PAVE’s prevention and intervention programs for youth across the Denver Metro area.
Together, we celebrated 40 years of healthy relationships, community, healing, and collective impact and launched the next 40 in style, community, and action.
To every sponsor, donor, volunteer, community partner, staff member, board member, and guest who helped make this evening possible: thank you. Your generosity and belief in this work ensure that young people continue to have access to healthy relationships education, school-based therapy, advocacy, and spaces where they feel seen, supported, and empowered.
In a time when young people are facing increasing mental health challenges, violence, and isolation, this community continues to show up with compassion, action, and hope. We are deeply grateful to be part of it alongside you.

Ashshea Joyce reminds us that awareness is power—and she’s using hers to uplift others. Through PAVE, Ashshea has deepened her understanding of relationships and the realities many teens face. Now, she shows up for her peers with honesty, clarity, and care, helping others navigate what isn’t always visible on the surface. She’s not just learning. She’s leading. 🌿

As Sexual Assault Awareness Month comes to an end, we’re reminded of our ongoing commitment to prevention. Across the country, we are witnessing the devastating realities of relationship violence - from domestic violence homicides to the normalization of sexual harm in media and online spaces. These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a larger pattern rooted in power, control, and silence.
At Project PAVE, we believe prevention is possible. We work every day with young people to build the skills, awareness, and support systems needed to create safe, healthy relationships - before harm occurs. This month, and every month, we stand with survivors. We honor those impacted. And we recommit to the work of prevention, education, and community accountability.

Kamila Hernandez Sierra is building the kind of future we all deserve—one rooted in respect, safety, and speaking up when something isn’t right. Through PAVE, Kamila has grown into a leader, a listener, and an advocate. Whether she’s supporting her friends or challenging unhealthy dynamics, she’s helping create communities where care and accountability are the norm, not the exception. This is what transformation looks like. 🌱
