It has become tradition that every Mother’s Day I leave the kiddos behind with their Dad and hang out with my Momma🩷. Today she decided that she wanted to pick me up like a baby again. I almost pulled her dressed down…so instead of pulling a Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl…she decided to drop me 🤭😂 #mothersday #motheranddaughter
Parenthood is the journey by which we realized just how flawed we are.
For us it was and is our struggle to be content in every season.
The Barbie story helped me to see outside of myself.
The next time you’re tempted to get upset with your child…ask yourself…am I guilty of the same charge they are guilty of? 🤔

Happy TWO months to my littlest love Zara Elisabeth 🌸🌷🎀
I’m a little late but I can’t believe how fast time is going! 🥹
This month’s stats:
-23 inches long
-wearing 3-6 months clothes
-weighing in at 12 pounds
Some fun facts about her:
-still exclusively breastfed
-sleeps stretches of 4-6 hours at night with an occasional 8
-will take a bottle IF I need to step out but I try not to do that often so that I don’t have to pump because the Lord knows how much I hate that DAUNTING task 😫
-becoming very mobile
-finally smiling 😂 and will let out a little laugh occasionally
-starting to finally like her siblings 😂
-cooing
-will now let others hold her but not for long…she’s still a mommas girl 😂
-still sleeps in a bedside bassinet and loves it!
-still hates baths but loves showers
-still loves contact naps but in the last week has taken a great nap alone at least once a day.
-seems her vision has drastically improved

She’s so eager to bond with her long awaited sister and there’s no way I’m gonna ruin it by telling her she’s not actually playing patty cake 🤭🤣

I know everyone’s asking why I requested such a thing for my 20 month old but truly his hair had been bothering me for MONTHS! 😩
It was uneven and my mom tried to give him a cut and he wouldn’t sit still so it ended up being even more uneven. 😭 so it had to go!
Also in other countries people shave their baby’s hair around the age of one and I always liked the tradition of getting rid of the baby hair so it was fun to experience that.

I’m truly grateful for this peace of mind and liberty to get out when I need to without being rushed. He could be struggling with the kids, they could be on their worst behavior or the house could be on fire and this man will protect my peace at all costs and avoid calling me to complain. He just deals with whatever it is and takes it all on the cheek 👏🏽
