So last week, I witnessed some internet drama where tattoo artists were getting exposed for using AI to make fake tattoos. As in, the final tattoos they were posting on their pages were not real. They were using AI to create fake tattoos 😂. Is that not a scam?
Can't lie, I have noticed this a lot on IG. It's giving desperation and it's so not cool to do that. Trust that as a professional I will never do this with you. I draw most of my own designs unless a client brings me their own design, then in that case, I tattoo what the client requests but in any other case, I draw my designs either by hand or digitally on Procreate. If, by chance, I ever start using AI to create my designs, the photos I share of my tattoos will always have imperfections. You will see swollen skin, blood, body hair, etc. Stay safe out there and be sure that the tattoos you are looking at aren't fake before you book with an artist ❤️!

Last week, I got to do a set of Delonix Regia flowers to add to @proeliator.illustris sleeve of already existing tattoos.
So far, this has been the largest tattoo that I have done and took the longest time so far. 4 hours to be precise.
This was so much fun to do, and I am so excited that I got to try something new on skin!

The first image is some arabic script meant to represent tranquillity. The second are a pair of hands. Uche shared that the hands which he referenced from another artist's work represent the balance of giving and receiving. One hand gesturing the act of taking and the other gesturing the act of giving.

This was a fun session. We got to do some research on birds. Is it a pigeon or a dove? Are pigeons actually just doves?
It was also exciting to experiment with colour on this tattoo, and I am eager to see what it looks like once it has healed.
At the end of the session, we were both really happy with how the tattoo came out!

I got to do a radiating sun with Tosin last week.
Before our session Tosin and I talked about her love for the sun and she shared one of her favourite songs "Still Sun" by Obongjayer.
At the end of the session she shared how calming the process was for her and how painless the experience was. She gifted me two bags of candy which obviously made my day.
