It takes a massive amount of hard work and dedication to fight food insecurity, and we couldn't do it without our incredible community.
We traded our volunteer shirts for a night of pure fun. We shared amazing food provided by Hitch Burger, shared endless laughs, watched a magician pull off some unbelievable illusions, and even had a few brave souls steal the show at karaoke! 🎶
To our volunteers and donors: thank you. Your generosity is the true magic behind Project Boon. We loved celebrating your impact!

We had the best time at #ProjectBoon Volunteer Appreciation Dinner! Great music, food, people… complete with a magician and karaoke!
Project Boon is an amazing non-profit doing amazing things!!
The first time Vienna volunteered with Project Boon was making Easter baskets when she was 3 1/2. I had to give her a peptalk while we were on our way to the event. I said, “OK, we’re going to put candies and toys in baskets and you can’t have any, because if you take one, you’re taking from the other Niños.” She said OK.
Fast forward to the event, and Vienna was looking at all her favorite candies and toys. It was getting late around dinner time and she was hungry. Chris opened up a candy, ate it and Vienna stopped the assembly line. She said, “Mom! He took a candy from a Niño.” 🤣
It’s stories like this and the time she told me “being kind is hard work,” that I look back and smile. It’s all those little moments that have arrived to this one—Vienna being honored as Volunteer of the Year with Project Boon. 🤍
As her mother, I’m beyond proud of how she has picked up the torch of giving back to her community and ran with it.
Thank you Project Boon for recognizing Vienna and providing her with a place to grow and flourish. 🦋
Last night, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Project Boon Volunteer Appreciation Event at Ophelia’s Jump Productions Theatre.
