Thank you to all who closed out the Salty Series with us at last night’s Algorithmic Rave! We’re not done yet.
In just two weeks, WORKING TITLE is back. More than just an exhibition, this is a place to gather, explore, and encounter something entirely unfamiliar. Across three nights, artists from throughout the borderlands region will fill the cathedral’s soaring gothic halls with works that ignite curiosity and invite discovery. Anchoring the program is the world premiere of a mind-melting new work by Michelle Lou for voices, brass, pipe organ, and electronics, surrounded by monumental sound, towering architecture, and surprising works of art that challenge and provoke, audiences are invited into an experience that feels expansive, transcendental, and completely unknowable.
Join us May 28–30 and find sanctuary in the very best that San Diego has to offer in experimental art and music.

MAKE NOISE.
San Diego’s arts funding is on the chopping block. Yesterday, we showed up at City Council, to passionately advocate for the vital role that arts funding plays in supporting small organizations like ours. Despite this, the proposed budget still includes a full cut to Arts & Culture funding—putting artists, programs, and public access to art at risk across the city.
Now we need your voice.
Revisions to the budget are still possible—but only if there’s public pressure.

Let’s end the Salty Series season on the dance floor!
Rounding out the Algorithmic Rave’s roster is sound/video duo Matty Terrones & Victor Castañeda, crafting disjointed, offbeat electronic music using samplers and synths. It’s a danceable, uncanny mashup of sounds and images guaranteed to keep you moving and hypnotically locked in.

Let’s end the SALTY season on the dance floor!
This high-energy night opens with one of our favorites—sound artist and DJ Joe Cantrell—taking over with a set built entirely from MIDI-controlled hardware from the 1900s. Joe breathes new life into this dinosaur tech with a set rich with pulsing minimalist techno and chaotic noise you can actually dance to.
