@sherlyfanstudio recording an experimental meditative album at recording studio 14C. This one is centered around spring and meant to be enjoyed “when you want to be alone with your feelings but not think your thoughts,” according to Sherly. Stay tuned for its release on streaming platforms!
snapshots from MAYhem this weekend! Hard to believe that all of these images were taken on the same night—so many worlds inside of ARTS 14C.
MAYhem was a celebration of all the artwork being created within our walls and also served as a fundraiser to keep our operations going. Hudson Gives is still live, and if you want to support our mission to keep the arts accessible to all you can donate through the link in our bio🧡🧡

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY from all 3 of the mamas that run Undead Arts!
We have had a beautiful end to our @project14c residency with @arts14c building, developing and rehearsing The Magic Flute.
And of course - thank you to @megan_maloy for capturing us in our natural elements.
Today is the final day to experience Head in the Clouds
Throughout the installation, hand-cut paper ribbons drift from the branches of the tree—forming part of a living paper ecosystem inspired by the Tao Te Ching, Tibetan prayer wheels, and Nüshu (女书), a historic women’s script known for its flowing, elongated forms.
Rather than presenting language as something fixed or instructional, these ribbons invite a quieter kind of encounter. Their forms are meant to be moved through rather than simply read—allowing meaning to unfold gradually through breath, movement, stillness, and presence.
The ribbons draw from Chapter 1 of the Tao Te Ching, a foundational text that reflects on the nature of the universe and the underlying principles of existence.
Rather than presenting knowledge in a fixed or didactic form, the text points toward a deeper, ineffable truth—one that can only be approached through stillness and quiet attention.
During the experience, visitors pass beneath and around these suspended forms, becoming immersed in a space where language transforms into atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who has come, breathed, reflected, and shared this space with us these past few days. Seeing people lie beneath the tree and clouds, slowing down together, has meant more than I can express.

The other magical half of our artist duo, Matthew Yacavone, making kinetic flowers slowly come alive.
Over the past three months during our special project residency, Matt taught himself 3D modeling from scratch to help bring Head in the Clouds into existence — designing mechanical flower systems, experimenting with movement, wiring, light, and endless prototypes late into the night.
What looks effortless in the final installation is actually the result of countless moments of trial and error, failed prints, tangled wires, broken mechanisms, rethinking, rebuilding, pacing back and forth, and trying again.
There’s something beautiful about watching technology become softer, gentler, and more alive through patience and care.
We honestly cannot wait to share the outcome with all of you this weekend. 🌙☁️
