Last night felt right.
Good people, honest reactions, and real conversations. That is what stayed with us.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, watched the film, and most importantly stayed back to talk to us after the screening. Those conversations matter more than anything else. The film is still a work in progress, but moments like these remind us why we started in the first place.
We are deeply grateful for the space and the warmth we were held in. Thank you to @thudippu_ for opening up a space that genuinely matched the spirit and vibe of the film. It did not feel like just a venue. It felt right.
This was a collective effort and a shared experience, and we are thankful for everyone who was part of it.
For those who could not make it or missed the screening, we are planning a few more screenings very soon.

Our team at the 17th IDSFFK had the pleasure of being interviewed by Abhiram & Nirmal. The questions were thoughtful, relevant, and easily some of the best we’ve been asked. For a few of our members, it was even their very first interview, and you made the whole experience comfortable and encouraging. Thank you!

Menstrual health is not a luxury. It is a basic human right. Yet millions of women and girls are still denied access to menstrual products in schools, workplaces, public spaces, and especially during crises. This is not an inconvenience. It is a denial of dignity.
We never question the presence of water or handwash in a washroom. They are treated as necessities. Menstrual products deserve the same recognition, as urgent as food, water, and first aid.
For too long, silence and stigma have shaped how we treat menstruation. The result is girls missing school, women losing workdays, and society normalizing neglect. It is time to break this silence and demand change.
A film festival is the right venue to begin. Festivals are more than screenings. They are communities, spaces for voices to come together and spark movements. Storytelling inspires us, but stories must also live beyond the screen.
This campaign is not about sympathy. It is about dignity, acceptance, and equality. As a small step, we have placed menstrual hygiene products at the venue for emergencies.
Feminism begins with gestures like this, simple acts that shift culture and create impact far beyond what we imagine. Spread the word. Share your voice. Let us know your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas.
Let us stand together not only inside these festival walls but beyond them too.

Thank you @bhoomibyahalya for being our social campaign partner for this cause.

IDSFFK is not just another festival. It is a reminder of why short films matter. They carry the power to resist silence, to provoke thought, to tell stories that mainstream cinema often ignores. Rooted in Kerala’s rich cultural legacy, IDSFFK has always been a home for bold, independent voices and for films that dare to challenge the mainstream.
But this is only the beginning. We need to improve and expand short film culture, to spread awareness of the change we urgently need. India deserves not just a few spaces but a movement of festivals, conversations, and communities that keep short films and documentaries alive all year round. We intend to take that culture to the next level whenever we can, by making films, by sharing them, and by standing together as storytellers.
This is also a call to fellow filmmakers: join us. Let us unite beyond these festival grounds and make real impact with our stories. Cinema grows stronger when it is collective, when short films are not seen as lesser but as essential.
To have TWERK share space with such powerful works at IDSFFK is an honour. Our presence will be marked, not just as a film, but as part of a culture we want to strengthen and spread.
Here’s to short film culture, to Kerala’s unwavering love for cinema, and to the audiences who make IDSFFK a true celebration of art. Because in the end, short film is not a genre, short film is a medium.
TWERK is coming to Thiruvananthapuram. See you at IDSFFK 2025! 🍑
