A raw snippet from our work on Sound Travels. We toured Royal Studios with @boomitchellmemphis . The birthplace of the Memphis sound, and seeing how much of the original 70s and 80s gear is still running blew me away. The history and stories in that place is unreal.

Paul Thomas unveiled his installation at OMAC in Orange Mound on 8/20/21 in conjunction with Project 1890, which unveiled the historical marker in the Deaderick Cemetery honoring African Americans enslaved by John G. Deaderick, who owned a 5,000 acre plantation in Orange Mound in the 1800s.
