Australian premiere in Hobart, the capital of Tasmania A theatre filled to 85%, 70 people gathered around the film… and for me, it was simply incredible.🇦🇺🥹 Seeing so many people come together to discover this archipelago, to connect, to feel, to share it truly meant a lot. A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of the 70 people who attended. I hope the film moved you and continues to resonate with you. A huge thank you as well to the entire team at @statecinemahobart for their professionalism and warm welcome, and to the photographers @nadirahclarkphotography @jacko.takes.photos who came to cover and frame this very special evening.🫶🏽🥹 This screening marks another turning point in the history of surfing in Vanuatu and in its development internationally. This is only the beginning. The Australian tour has begun: I’ll soon be presenting the film in New South Wales and then in Queensland. And at the end of the year, we head to Europe and France.✈️ I hope you’ll have the chance to discover LEIMALO at a festival or in a cinema near you, The tour is coming soon. The end of this adventure in Vanuatu … what can I say except thank you. Thank you to Thomas and Fanny, thanks to whom I was able to live this incredible experience. I’m so grateful to all the students I had the chance to teach surf, skate, and more both kids and adults. You came to learn surfing, but you taught me so much in return… I love you all, and I’ll always remember every smile and every tear we shared. Thank you @vanuatu_kiteandsurfing @progressurf 🇻🇺🫶🏽 I’m off to start a new chapter in Australia.

Je tiens à vous adresser un immense merci. Nous avons été sold out plus de 6 heures avant l’avant-première, et c’était tout simplement incroyable pour moi. (156 personnes) Voir autant de monde rassemblé autour de Leimalo m’a profondément touché. J’espère de tout cœur que ce film documentaire vous a plu, qu’il a su transmettre un peu de ce que j’ai voulu partager à travers cette aventure : la beauté d’un territoire, la force d’une culture et le lien que nous entretenons avec l’océan. Je tiens aussi à présenter mes excuses à toutes les personnes qui se sont déplacées et que je n’ai malheureusement pas pu faire entrer, la salle étant complète. J’espère sincèrement que vous aurez l’occasion de le découvrir prochainement, lors d’une prochaine projection ou d’une diffusion à venir. Merci encore pour votre présence, votre soutien et vos retours chaleureux. Merci à toutes les personnes qui ont pu m’aider : amis, caméramans et partenaires. Ce film est le fruit de beaucoup de travail, car il a été réalisé sans trop de budget et surtout majoritairement filmé avec une action cam. Et pour moi, c’est tellement un exploit ! Remplir une salle de cinéma pour le premier film que je réalise, c’est dingue… merciii ! Cette soirée restera gravée pour moi.
