We don’t wait for change in our neighborhoods, we lead with it 💪🏾 Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. They create jobs, offer a rich variety of goods and services from different cultures, and help foster a sense of belonging among residents. These local gems are essential for keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and diverse and therefore must be preserved. As gentrification continues to rise across NYC, we at Progress Playbook are committed to ensuring that our beloved neighborhood social enterprises not only have access to essential resources to thrive economically, but also receive unwavering support from their fellow community members. Join us at the Renaissance Summit, June 14th to learn how to build your business and block the way you like it 👏 Free Tix available in bio 🎟️ Let’s make progress 💪🏾

At the Renaissance Summit, Danielle M. Chery, artist and founder of @dmcoriginalart revealed a one-of-a-kind piece that captured the spirit of our theme: Build Your Business & Your Block. Using donated tiles from a local tile-making factory and her signature epoxy resin technique, Danielle constructed a reimagined NYC skyline layered with meaning by embedding real newspaper clippings about entrepreneurship, community, and access to resources. The detail in Danielle’s work powerfully conveys that building something strong and lasting takes time, effort, and intention. This piece is a tribute to the dreamers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers shaping their neighborhoods and businesses from the ground up. We’re deeply grateful to Danielle for contributing this powerful piece to our summit. To continue supporting her artistic journey and ongoing success follow her @dmcoriginalart
