Being able to bring Comets Crew all the way from Alberta to the East Coast is something I don’t take lightly. One of the biggest things I’ve always tried to build is a platform that connects creatives across Canada — from BC to Newfoundland, both online and in person — and this weekend genuinely brought that vision to life in a whole new way. ❤️

AHHHHH SHIIII🥶 Where the hell do I even begin??! From going back home to perform for the first time since 2022 (second show I EVER did🤧) to riding across the province with people who truly brought out the best in theirselves as well as me🙏🏻

It’s for every time we funded our own tours, booked our own venues, and pushed through the days when it felt like we were shouting into the void. 💯
This award is so much more than glass and engraving. It’s a testament to late nights, early mornings, the hundreds of shows, the thousands of miles touring, & the unwavering belief that this / my story was worth telling. Seeing that Newfoundland map in the logo reminds me exactly where I came from and why this started. 🗺️

I am still processing all of this past 3 day event. This weekend made me fully refocused again after almost giving up on it all; the music, the shows, the tours ALL OF IT. But seeing and hearing all the great feedback & motivated artists, the smiles, the warm commuinty of good vibes & support for our craft / genre we have helped curate and cultivate has breathed new life into my body & soul. Good things are on the other side of that hard work, you just gotta work & stay dedicated to your end goal! Hip hop is alive and VERY WELL in Newfoundland, Canada! Be PROUD of the statement WE have all made TOGETHER.
