A formal introduction to my 1998 Toyota Mark II Tourer V JZX100. Because long names are fun. Painted to match Porsche Viola Metallic, and fitted with a M-Sport body kit. This is the first proper drive with the car with brand new TE37 SL wheels. The fitment and alignment has yet to be set (yes, we need to go lower).
The car was bought in HK and returned to the motherland where it will reside. That’s right, this car will be driven in Japan. This means track days, road trips, and car show/meets are to come!
So far, as these photos were taken at the PA on the 6 hour drive from Tokyo to Osaka, the car has exceeded all expectations. This is a car that is reliable, turns heads, comfortable, spacious, fun to drive, and tail happy. Actually, all I need to justify is the glorious 1JZ with its playful turbo and intoxicating noises. All the JDM vibes!
Soon it will be AC weather. Pressing the AC button to turn it off feels like a sport mode button. 😂
