Our EarthWorks paper on 3d printing zero-waste earthen formwork for shape optimized concrete construction is finally published! Link in bio. This project explored different ways to leverage earth 3d printing to make structures that mean California Building code while minimizing carbon. Over the past few years we have experimented with hybrid cast-in-place earth/ concrete wall, tilt-up and pre-fab modalities all using construction waste soil donated to the project and directly recycled.
