But those are precisely the names that keep popping up when reviews of the new Sister May album VII appear.
We didnโt highlight this album at release time, and honestly, we should have.
So letโs make up for that now: VII is an absolutely stunning record โ intense, atmospheric, industrial, and surprisingly mature, especially considering this is only the bandโs second album.
Sister May have carved out a sound that is dark, electronic, rhythmโdriven, and unmistakably their own. Itโs bold, itโs creative, and it deserves your attention.

PreHistoric Animals last played ProgPower Europe in 2019 โ one album out, a second on the way.
Now, several years and five albums later, the band is preparing to release their sixth. The first single already hints at something exciting, and that was more than enough reason for us to bring them back.

A burst of fresh energy is coming your way! Royal Sorrow will be playing ProgPower Europe 2026!
Finnish Royal Sorrow hit the ground running after forming in 2022 and signing with Inside Out Music. In the autumn of 2025 they released their debut album Innerdeeps, a record that showcases their energetic blend of prog metal with a catchy electronic edge. About a year earlier, the band introduced themselves with the single Metrograve, a track that made many listeners curious for what would follow.
We are looking forward to seeing Royal Sorrow open ProgPower Europe Sunday!

We love bringing new and ambitious prog metal to our stage, so we are happy to announce the Norwegian band Terravia to ProgPower Europe 2026!
Hailing from Trondheim, Terravia formed in 2021 and have been steadily shaping their sound ever since. They stepped onto the stage in early 2025 and even had the chance to support Conception.
Their debut album A New World, released on March 2, 2026, shows exactly why weโre excited to bring them to Baarlo. Terravia blend long, dynamic compositions with shifting time signatures, complex arrangements, and memorable melodies. The band is influenced by Dream Theater, Opeth, and Haken, wrapped in a playful mix of jazz, classical, and folk.
Terravia will be playing on Saturday 3 October, 16.30 โ 17.30 โ come join us!

2025 was an amazing year for the ProgPower Europe festival and for the ProgPower Europe team. We celebrated a milestone, and a royal decoration. Moreover, together with you we celebrated one of our best festival editions yet.

Einar Solberg does not really need an introduction. The Leprous frontman climbed the ProgPower stage before with Leprous. In 2026 Einar Solberg (with his own band), will be on the stage at Midsummer Prog and a headlining Sunday evening show at ProgPower Europe 2026. These will be the only 2 shows in The Netherlands in 2026!

You wouldn't expect progressive synthpop to be the kind of genre to inspire a pit to open up in the middle of a show, but thankfully no one told us about that little detail when we were writing TKTK4 from our Mannequin album.
