After five years of gestation THÆTAS (@thaetas_bdm ) return with an auditory statement for this moment in time, the new LP The Irredeemable Age out June 26 through Profound Lore Records. New track “For The Hope Devoid” and pre-orders now live (link in bio).  The Irredeemable Age shows the band both refining and intensifying the brutal death metal approach from their debut LP, Shrines to Absurdity, while deepening their explorations into the bizarre, the uncharted and even the avant-garde. The result is a dynamic mosaic of obsessively dark, organic, off-kilter and kinetic death metal.  The four-piece band hail from the New York region, consisting of drummer Nick Crifo, guitarists Terrell Grannum (Reeking Aura, Buckshot Facelift, Squelching Flesh) & Pat Hawkins (Asystole, Needlepusher, Kyrios, Aberrated) and vocalist/bassist Cory Peterson (37564 Recordings). Limited metallic gold vinyl is a UK retail exclusive limited to 100 units and can be pre-ordered through multiple UK retailers (link in bio for all retailers listed).   During the band’s discourse since the release of their Reflections debut GODTHRYMM have been recognized as the new emerging band from the UK to bring back the glorious aura of early-mid ‘90s UK doom metal. As expected, considering GODTHRYMM was formed and is helmed by UK doom metal veteran Hamish Glencross (ex-My Dying Bride/Vallenfyre/Solstice) and features doom metal drummer extraordinaire Shaun Taylor-Steels (ex-My Dying Bride/Anathema). So in this sense, the classic UK doom metal DNA has already been implemented within the sonic fabric of Godthrymm.   Projections sees Godthrymm continue to develop and broaden their sound even further, and building upon the cornerstones of Distortions.  Now with an expanded lineup which includes keyboardist co-vocalist Catherine Glencross, bassist Bob Crolla and new second guitarist Kris McLaughin, Projections is GODTHRYMM’s most layered, varied and complex release yet, all while still upholding the colossal emotionally charged heavy doom backbone that has defined the core of the band’s sound.   Projections features guest appearances by Aaron Stainthorpe (High Parasite/ex-My Dying Bride), original English Dogs vocalist Adie Bailey, and Xentrix vocalist Jay Walsh.
