BREAKING: Thousands of TV Commercial Production Department Workers Win First Union Contract After Stand With Production Movement Today we're pleased to announce the ratification of a groundbreaking first contract for TV commercial production department workers, covering up to 5,000 employees across hundreds of Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) signatory companies. The deal, won by members of the newly chartered and national Production Workers Guild Local 111, secures overtime protections, expanded healthcare access, financial safeguards, reimbursements, and parity with fellow crews under the Commercial Production Agreement. Emerging from the grassroots Stand With Production movement launched in 2021, this agreement marks a historic turning point for production assistants, supervisors, line producers, and bidding producers who were previously unrepresented — and signals growing momentum for entertainment workers organizing to improve industry standards. This group includes now the largest unit of unionized production assistants in the history of the United States.

To all newcomers on our instagram page curious about our journey from inception to becoming an IATSE labor union for Commercial Production Workers in under two years, check out this fun little video that outlines our brief history. While there’s much more to our story, it’s an ongoing tale with many more developments underway. It started with a walk-off on a commercial job, forming a grassroots campaign organization called “Stand With Production,” and continued with a successful authorization card count leading to a newly chartered labor union under IATSE called “The Production Workers Guild: IATSE Local 111” We hope this can inspire future movements to do the same—whether it is through voluntary recognition or an election through the NLRB—All Production Workers in entertainment deserve better working conditions! Enjoy! #IATSE #productionassistant #union

Local 111’s Transformation, Equity, and Parity Committee honors the bravery of Claudette Colvin, who, at just 15, refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus long before it became a movement. Her courage inspires us every day. Later in life, Claudette Colvin worked as a nurse and stayed committed to education and activism. She received recognition much later, and she now shares her story to inspire younger generations to continue the fight for justice. When people come together and stand in solidarity for what is right - transformation is inevitable. #CivilRights #ClaudetteColvin #BlackHistoryMonth #Solidarity #Transformation

PHBP Trustee Elections are finally here! And we want to make sure you all have the correct information and know how to participate. Last month we voted for nominees (like primaries), and now are actually voting for the election! Two Covered Employee Trustee seats are up for election. The Board has nominated the incumbents, Norman Reiss and Rachel Perkins, and two additional candidates, Shelly Silverman and Constance Ream Druska, have been nominated by covered employees. We’re proud to share that both Shelly and Constance are PWG Local 111 members. If you feel aligned with their representation and leadership, we encourage you to consider supporting them with your vote. Below are the instructions from PHBP on how the election will work: Election Details + How to Vote • The election will take place December 12–16, 2025. • All eligible employees will receive an email from [email protected] with a unique control number (just like last month) and link to the election site. You will need this number to vote. • You can use your control number to access vote.phbp.org at any time to view candidate statements. • Eligibility: All staff and freelance employees covered by a PHBP medical plan as of December 1 may vote. (Bridge and COBRA participants are not eligible.) • You may vote for up to two candidates. The two candidates with the most votes will become Trustees. • Elected Trustees begin their four-year term on January 1, 2026. • If you are eligible and do not receive your control number, email [email protected] with your name exactly as it appears on your Anthem ID card. • Please allow up to 48 hours for any inquiries sent to [email protected] prior to 12/12, as PHBP processes the initial volume of requests. For any questions regarding eligibility or the election process, please reach out to PHBP directly, as they manage all aspects of voter verification and administration. Thank you all for taking part in shaping the future of your benefits and representation. In Solidarity, The Production Workers Guild Local 111

Dear Assistant Production Supervisor Members, We’re reaching out to focus on what comes next, particularly how this new contract impacts us as Assistant Production Supervisors. All Assistant Production Supervisors (APS) Members nationwide are invited to join our first Assistant Production Supervisor Craft Membership Call: Sunday, December 14th 10a PST // 11a MST // 12p CST // 1p EST Check email to register! During this call, your APS Representatives, along with the Assistant Production Supervisors who sat on the bargaining table team, will be available to answer any questions you may have about the contract, union procedures, and next steps for our craft. We will also begin breaking down how the contract affects our day-to-day work and clarifying any questions members have about the details of the agreement. This is an important opportunity to come together as a craft, strengthen our shared understanding, and prepare for the next stage of implementation as our first contract takes effect. We look forward to seeing you there. In Solidarity, Assistant Production Supervisors Committee

A new chapter started on November 29th. Our first union contract for commercial production workers took effect, and today we celebrated members walking onto their FIRST UNION JOB under protections they helped fight for. Big or small, progress matters — and this milestone belongs to everyone who spoke up, organized, and believed workers deserve better. The energy on set last week said it all: more joy, more pride, and more workers feeling seen. Here’s to the crews building a fairer industry, one job at a time. Who’s next?

Dear Potential Members, We’re excited to share that the Production Workers Guild, IATSE Local 111, has officially ratified our first enforceable contract, which went into effect on November 29, 2025. To celebrate this milestone, we’re offering discounted initiation rates through December 31, 2025 for qualified applicants with relevant commercial production experience. (See Slide 3 for pricing before and after Jan 1st.) DUES + MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW • Initiation Fee – A one-time payment that makes you a full member of Local 111. • Per Capita Quarterly Dues – $75 paid to the International, four times per year. • Local 111 Dues – Begin once the contract is fully implemented and are deducted only from covered work. BENEFITS ON UNION JOBS When you work under the Production Workers Agreement (PWA), employers make significant contributions on your behalf—these do not come out of your paycheck. PHBP Health Insurance If you currently qualify for PHBP, you keep that plan. Covered workdays continue to support your PHBP eligibility. Pension & Annuity (Employer-Contributed) Employers contribute directly to the IATSE Pension Plan and Annuity Fund, helping build long-term retirement security. 401(k) Option (Employee-Contributed) Members may also voluntarily contribute to the IATSE National Benefit Fund 401(k). Starting January 1, 2026 — New Fees & Requirements Initiation fees and required payments increase substantially on Jan 1. (See Slide 3 for full details.) New applicants must also provide proof of 30 days of paid work in their craft and three letters of reference (one preferably from a Local 111 member). The 30-Day Rule Once someone works 30 days under a Local 111 agreement, they must join to continue working in covered classifications. Joining before Dec 31 lowers costs and simplifies the process. To apply visit PWG111.org Local 111 has made history with our first enforceable contract. By joining now, you’ll be part of the foundational phase—strengthening our union as we move toward full implementation of the PWA. If you have questions, reach out at [email protected]. In solidarity, Production Workers Guild, IATSE Local 111
