I’m really glad that I photograph my son on film as well as digital. Since a roll lasts longer and I don’t get that instant gratification of seeing the image right away, it is nice to get a roll later and see how much he has grown in even just a month or so.

Mathew 2015
Hands down the most interesting man I’ve ever met in my life. Whenever I get my garage set up for Probcast he’ll definitely be one of the first guests I bring on. We were roommates in both college and Austin, and once we took our separate paths Mathew ended up living on the road for several years with his Rottweiler, Bodhi. One of my favorite stories of his is about a time he camped atop a mountain for about a week. Every day a raven would fly by about the same time and he would wave and say hello to the bird. On his final day atop the mountain, the feather friend passed by and Mat waved goodbye. The raven then turned around and held its wing up to Mathew, thanking him for the time they spent together.
He tells it a heck of a lot better than me, and hopefully you’ll be able to hear it in his own words whenever we speak.

NYC2018
We took a week trip to visit my uncle in Brooklyn and to attend this film festival that accepted a music video I shot. Opening night I was on some killer edibles we had bought from a stranger outside a comedy club, and ended up ghosting the first night of the festival. I walked out while some dick-bag life coach showed off his flick about how he had all the answers to existence and shit - think Dianetics only dumber (yeah I didn’t think that was possible either). Anyways, ended up missing my interview because I found a bar next door where all the drinks used chocolate as the base. Probably the only time anyone would ever bother wasting their time asking me questions on camera, but I stand by my decisions that night - best Chocolatini I’ve ever had.
One of my favorite things to do in the spring is to observe dragonflies around the creek near our home. It’s so calming to sit in one spot, listen to the creek babble on, and watch these little critters land to and fro.
Placed the camera on its back, locked the trigger, and slept in my hammock for a couple of hours to get this shot. Taken on a Canon 630, I want to say Portra 800, and several swigs of Meade.

One of my favorite weddings I’ve shot to date. It is not only because I was in theater with Chris back in high school, but also due to their theme. The whole thing was a fantasy set-up. On digital I shot them having sword fights, a fantasy-anime version of them for the cake toppers, the works. I brought a half-shot roll with me and snagged some shots of the first kiss as man and wife, as well as some shots of Chris giving his heart-felt personal vows to Celena. It was all around a great time for me and my camera.
