UC training in the woods focused on high-pressure, real-world scenarios. Drills involved responding to multiple attackers from different angles, emphasizing situational awareness and rapid threat assessment. Flanking tactics were practiced to create openings and regain control, using terrain features to our advantage. We integrated hard skills—striking, blocking, and close-quarters takedowns—into dynamic movements, reinforcing muscle memory under stress. Each session built on controlled aggression, spatial control, and quick decision-making in unpredictable environments, with the forest providing constant variables that tested timing, coordination, and mental resilience.
