The universe is abundant, but what about our minds? When assessing vastness, or even something little, how sure can we be of what we see? Can we make a value judgment to say that something is the way it is based on what our senses perceive? Or do our senses allow our minds to play tricks? If we use our senses to map out a reality, or to define a given thing, our experiences of that thing would differ.. And maybe that's because we are each led and mislead by our senses, in different ways, creating different realities. On a more personal level, we (un)knowingly deceive others by choosing which of our facets we share and deny exercising our autonomy in doing so. Are we so afraid of what others might think that we confine ourselves to please everyone, but ourselves? Maybe we're so uncomfortable with who we are that we might find more comfort in limiting ourselves by clipping our wings. We don't know how to embrace ourselves or handle our own 'weird' as it may jeopardise our own versions of 'normality', yet isn't it amazing that by being here, is almost beyond comprehension.  It's easy to be shaped by the black mirrors making us accomplices to modern day warfare. But we can control whether we let our senses dominate our minds, in a newer world of tainted reflections and illusions where we only see what we choose to. 👼 . . . Our human condition allows us to yearn towards reaching a sort of perfection, just like the moth yearns the flame. We work hard to satisfy our desires and we try to buy freedom. Though through the distractions and constant attack on our senses, we forget that nothing that can be bought, will last forever. Our hearts and souls become tainted as we become slaves to the modern world, and we forget to make time to give value to becoming better versions of ourselves, because we are constantly chasing the temporary. Our wings become too heavy to open, too heavy to take flight for us to fly to a destination where we'll be free, or at least create an internal, infectious sense of joy and satisfaction. To earn that freedom, we need to decontaminate our wings and take some time away from our busy realities to build in a routine for self care. Self care will not only directly benefit you, but your "becoming" will also benefit those around you. . . . . . .
