When I wrote the PRITTY novel series, it was because, even in the midst of the fight for our lives, I believe our ability to love and see ourselves worthy of receiving it in return is just as important. And what better place to be reminded of that but in remembering the first loves that make us and the first heartbreaks that shake us. To remember at what point we told ourselves that growing up meant leaving the most precious parts of ourselves behind. I created the PRITTY series for those who not only are ready to ask these questions, but find the complicated answers steeped in love, heartbreak, joy, resistance, acceptance, anger, and laughter, so we can all know what it means to be PRITTY. I have had many incredible reviews of PRITTY. But this one is definitely in the top ten. Especially channeling the energy of the end of book one into book two-and why before book two came out every reader was looking for me in the skreeeetz. When I tell you @bydney.y gets it. I mean furreal, furreal (PRITTY inside joke). But seriously. There’s nothing more magical than when the folks you write it for respond the way you’ve prayed for with the energy you’ve prayed for. What I know: PRITTY changes errbody. And I usually know people are reading by how quick they look for me, slide in my DMs and domain all the ways and all the feelings. JUST. LIKE. THIS.
