If you scroll to the third picture you’ll find out what this board was about when I asked @nanoartbus to do my new board paint job. It came from me drawing it in school and giving it to @brucejones.surfboards and they painted it up for me. Bruce was a cool dude. Not only was he cool, he changed our whole family’s lives. He believed in us and gave us boards to hit the Columbia river gorge all the wave from no wind California. People always thought we grew up in Hood River but we actually grew up in Southern California and our parents would drive us up to Hood River every summer for a month and we would windsurf every single day we could and Bruce kept giving us boards and supporting our fun!! When I got this cover shot I was so stoked and I’m pretty sure Bruce was too!! I’ve been wanting to do the same one handed jump, aerial type of thing and have the similar photo just 40 years later. So I guess this is the best I could do. 🤳 @peerjohnsonphoto
Finally a good day of waves before the pro’s get back. I was worried we wouldn’t get one in. I always remember when I had to go to Sylt there would always be the the first swell of the season and we would have to go to Germany and usually sit around. I guess times have changed! Thanks @peerjohnsonphoto for taking time off of editing wedding photos to snap a couple of me. Nice to be getting out on the @quatro1994 boards and some fun prototype @ezzysails
