Carpet Co-Ordinates
Heritage Decoded - A computational study of Crossley carpet designs (Halifax). By translating woven patterns into raw geometric coordinates (x, y, r, g, b) using a python script, this project strips away the physical wool to reveal the mathematical ‘DNA’ of traditional British textiles.

3 - Experimentation within my
project is based on fears surrounding the turn of the millennium and the Y2K computer bug.
The concept presents a hypothetical outcome in which an online ‘gallery’ is affected by the bug, and the resulting effect on the artwork within is explored. Stemming from the millennial anxieties of the bug, this project constructs a virtual ‘gallery’ in TouchDesigner.
Using TOP feedback, visual data is recursively reprocessed, allowing distortions to accumulate over time. This controlled feedback simulates systemic malfunction, progressively affecting the artworks within the space.

more visual experimentation within touch designer - reusing the project file I built for blob tracking with various media, in this instance video footage from an event.
”Access Islands”
Where public access land is marooned by private land rendering access impossible without trespass.
A culmination of media spanning conventional print-making techniques to experimental code driven software locating hidden pockets of access land - a data driven landscape.
My second year project for Right to Roam.
