Take a few moments of your questionably precious time to watch YouTuber @imdrewdoes critique my "mansion" made of shipping containers. Big ups to Drew for the 9.0 rating although I personally would rate it 9.1. PS: this is not a paid promotion nor were any stuffed bunnies filmed in the hurting of this video. #princeroadcontainerhouse #drewdoes
Trust me, I've not been a fan of Marjorie Taylor Greene but I have to say her recent transformation and willingness to publicly rip Trump et al new assholes is exhilarating. LET'S GO MTG! #fuckdonaldtrump #marjorietaylorgreene
Prince Road Container House in St. Augustine South 🌳
Did you know that this shipping container home is located in a residential neighborhood in St. Augustine? Local resident, Rob DePiazza, built the unique 1600-square-foot home after the original house on the property was destroyed during Hurricane Irma (a large oak tree snapped at the base and destroyed the structure while he was in it!).
From Rob’s listing on Apartment Therapy: “The overall theme of the Prince Road Container House (PRCH) is to reveal and celebrate materials and construction techniques that are typically concealed. It starts with the exposed corrugated steel exterior walls of the container from which the paint was removed to reveal the raw core ten steel and the natural corrosion. On the inside, I revealed key interior walls that did not require insulation. With the exception of the painted wall in the main living space, I retained the original interior paint of the container along with the patina acquired over the many years of its use; the scuffs, scrapes, and dents that tell the story of the many Transatlantic crossings made and the cargo transported.”
The home is currently available to rent on Airbnb. What do you think?

Alli Good's art has been an integral part of the Prince Road Container House from the very beginning. I had purchased a piece of her art at Horse And Hero in Asheville several years ago. I was an instant fan of her irreverent imagery and garish colour palette. As completion of the PRCH approached I reached out to Alli to commission a painting featuring her interpretation of the last supper with white trash zombies in a mobile home. It's become a highlight of the house hanging rebelliously over the dining room booth, an appropriate place for a family sharing a meal. And now the Xmas ornaments. Equally irreverent, comparably garish and another poke at tradition. Perfect for the PRCH! 🥰🎄💯
Nearly 15 years ago this little man entered our lives. Despite having four legs and a tongue that often hangs out of his mouth, his stature as a family member is equal to that of the bipeds. Always by my side; at work, on the trails and waterways, road trips, his presence is like a shadow without the sun, mirroring the meanderings of my life. Nary one of the millions of minutes have been spent apart, an appendage of sorts. Or an organ. Necessary. We've aged together, sadly at different rates but comparably gray. The pace has slowed now and the meanderings less urgent with every moment more meaningful. There's a sadness along with the joy of the memories of a long life lived. The inequity of biology and it's uneven hand. The moments can't come slow enough nor the memories too indelible. Every day is a gift. And I cherish them. ❤️
Here's a little feature on the PRCH with Rance Adams of WJXT's River City Live. He did a story on the Prince Road Container House back in 2020, not long after the house was completed. It was a popular story at the time. Man vs Nature; What started as a loss ended up a draw. The triumph of man, happy endings and all that. And now, five years on we're back in the news with my buddy Rance, unquestionably the best on air personality in Jacksonville, and so it goes✌🏼❤️
