I remember a long time ago I said to myself "whenever I have my first show I'm gonna call it Cherry Bomb, cuz I'm ready to blow up!" Not to mention my heavy use of red and pink on top of the subject matter of most of my work, the title seemed very fitting to me.
Fast forward to present day, and my show opening for CHERRY BOMB NEWSSTAND is scheduled Friday Oct. 4th. I hope to see everyone and they momma there 👌🏾🤘🏾💪🏾

I can't keep it in any longer. Guess what? I got a solo show opening OCTOBER FUCKIN 4TH! Been working diligently all spring and summer putting this body of work together. I'm not complaining tho, this is what I've always wanted and my be my only chance so imma make sure I show my whole ass for this one.
Cherry Bomb Newsstand! will debute exactly one week after my 40th birthday and will serve as a swan song of sorts to the kid who sat in back of class that would always draw.

I am very pleased with how this painting turned out. This piece initially started out as a digital painting I did a couple years ago and I was asked early last month to do a painting of it, which I very much obliged.
I changed some colors up slightly to brighten it up overall, and now I'm thinking of going hard and painting the rest of the demon portraits.
