Pois é, Johnny Bonnel, vocalista do Swingin Utters soltou essas duas pérolas recentemente: o terceiro álbum do Druglords Of The Avenues, "Gotta Light", pela Pirates Press Records e o disco de estreia da Primitive Heads, "Beak Wyatt!", pela Strange Club Records. O do Druglords é um picture-disc lindo com 10 faixas do mais puro punk rock californiano. Me fez lembrar a fase áurea do Swingin Utters. O Primitive Heads já é um pouco mais experimental, mas tá fácil na minha lista de discos mais legais que peguei recentemente. E a cor dele? Coisa linda, assim como a arte. Aliás, os dois discos tem a arte feita pelo Johnny. Se você é fã de Swingin Utters ou de um bom punk rock, os dois discos são para você.

The vinyl will be available via Sacramento’s Strange Club Records, while the digital version will be self-released by the band and on all digital platforms. Pre Orders have been shipping out this week and will be completed by Monday! Thank you to everyone that has pre ordered !!!
Formed in the wake of the pandemic, Primitive Heads bring together longtime collaborators Kyle Lindauer, Luke Ray, and Alex Alcantra-Kouninos with John Bonnel from Swingin’ Utters, whose unmistakable vocals take on a fresh and unexpected dimension. The band’s sound is rooted in punk, but twisted through post punk and angular edges, shifting tempos, and unpredictable dynamics.
