For all the years I’ve travelled to , from , or via Ireland , I’d never bothered with any drinking at the airport . I expected the pint to be on a par with pubs that don’t shift too much Guinness and therefore a bit sour. But how wrong was I here , a great pint to see me back on my way to Manchester. Maybe some out of the way changes at Dublin coming up!

Good afternoon Muttonistas! My third and final pub on my quick Galway pit stop, Hughes’ Bar.
Hughes’ is located a few minutes walk away from the main pedestrianised are on Woodquay street.
But it’s definitely worth the few minutes walk to visit this welcoming family owned pub, because I’ve definitely saved the best till last here, another Creamerissimo Absolute Creamer!
While I haven’t been to every pub in Galway, I’ve been to many and this Muttonistas, is still for me the best pint in Galway!

Good afternoon Muttonistas! The second of the three pubs I visited during my brief pit stop in Galway, The Bunch of Grapes.
The bunch of grapes had been my final stop on my Galway YouTube video and again I had had to voice it over, so another review was well overdue.
And what a good thing It was that I did come here, even though the pub was quiet with a handful of Guinness drinkers present, the pint of Guinness I was served was another Absolute Creamer and a Creamerissimo one as well!!

Good afternoon Muttonistas! After leaving Westport , to catch a late night flight from Shannon to Manchester, Galway seemed to be a natural pit stop, and it gave me the chance to cover a few pubs that required re reviewing .
First of all @murphysbargalway .
When I visited to Murphy’s to film a segment my long YouTube video my microphones clapped out and I had to voice over the segment, which I find unsatisfactory.
I was also quite a few pints in on my previous visit, so I came in with a completely clean palate this time.
Murphy’s is a great pub , cosy fittings and well located on the pedestrianised high street in Galway.
Most of the punters on a Monday afternoon were drinking Guinness, and with good reason. Murphy’s served me up not just an Absolute Creamer, but a creamerissimo one.
Maybe not my No1 pint in Galway but right up there in a City where there are enough Creamers and Absolute Creamers to sink a battleship.

My final day in Westport span out of control a bit, and the last two reviews were a bit of a mess, I’d had far too many pints to review properly, such a good time I’d had at Toby’s and the Helm.
I thought I’d publish them anyway. Firstly the Old Grainstore, located at the edge of what I call the main rectangle of two parallel streets linked at each end of the town.
Another good pint, a Creamer, but I think I’ll need to come back and review the Old Grainstore again when I’m in better shape to better assess it!

Good afternoon Muttonistas! The first pub I ever visited in Westport many years ago was the @thehelmwestport , I even stayed at the pub’s accommodation back then.
The Helm is located at the quays a few minutes drive from central Westport, or a 20 minute walk.
The pub serves great food and Irish coffees, but most importantly a fantastic pint of Guinness, a Creamer and very close to being an Absolute Creamer!
If you’re visiting Westport , I’d strongly recommend you come over to the Helm for the scenery, a pint, or even the food as well!

Good afternoon Muttonistas! After my brief visit to Kilmeena, it was back to Westport to review more pubs, and a lot of you did request that I visit Toby’s.
Toby’s isn’t on the main rectangle where most Westport pubs are situated but it’s only a few minutes walk away in a nice location.
And I’m so glad you did recommend Toby’s. A bar that was reasonably busy on a Sunday afternoon, and really good for watching sport, multiple screens and I was able to watch football with the commentary on without having to ask for it
Plenty were on the Guinness, and with good reason, the pint at Toby’s isn’t just good, it’s an Absolute Creamer!

Good Afternoon Muttonistas! On to Day 2 of my Westport tour, and to start the day off, I was driven to the @buckfieldinn in Kilmeena which isn’t too far away from Westport in County Mayo.
The Buckfield inn does have a large catchment area as the village of Kilmeena is really rather spread out, so if you want to chat to friendly locals, it’s a great place to visit. A local historian was also in attendance, as a big book about the pub and those who have visited was in the process of being written.
Most importantly though, the pint of Guinness was a great one, with a short line, half of the pub drinking it through the lines, and was most definitely a Creamer!
