Dr. Jacob “Jake” Entin is a Denver native with a deep passion for his home state. He earned a double major in Integrative Physiology and Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, followed by medical school and anesthesiology residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz. After five years in private practice, he joined Prime Anesthesia, bringing a well-rounded approach to patient care focused on comfort, safety, and personalized treatment. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife, young daughter, and extended family—all local to Denver. Whether biking, skiing, or hiking, Jake loves the outdoors. When not in the high country, you’ll often find him at Denver’s parks, indulging in local cuisine, or people-watching at farmers’ markets. Dr. Entin’s commitment to anesthesia care is matched only by his love for family, Colorado’s outdoors, and strong community ties.
Dr. Brian Conahan is a board-certified anesthesiologist with specialized training in acute and regional pain management. A Denver native, Dr. Conahan earned a medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed residency training in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Acute and Regional Pain at the University of Utah, where he gained advanced expertise in regional anesthesia techniques and perioperative pain management. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Conahan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, fishing, triathlons and skiing. Dr. Conahan is an enthusiastic sports fan and loves watching college basketball, especially the Gonzaga Bulldogs!
Dr. Ian Stone, originally from Texas, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before completing his medical education at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio. He recently relocated to Colorado after finishing his anesthesia residency in Michigan, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Stone enjoys attending live music events and taking advantage of Colorado’s abundant outdoor activities.
Dr. Sarah Al-Najar grew up locally in Aurora, CO. She attended Colorado State University, graduating with a Masters in Biomedical Sciences, then attended Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She moved back home to Colorado and joined the Prime Anesthesia team following completion of her residency. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with her partner and her dog, and exploring everything Colorado has to offer.
Dr. Stephen Campbell graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in biochemistry. He pursued multiple careers prior to embarking on his career in medicine. He worked in academic and biotechnology research as a chemist and ran an electron microscope laboratory and then as a website designer, professional photographer and videographer. He obtained his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He subsequently finished a one year fellowship in pain medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. When not practicing anesthesia, he enjoys spending time with his wife, stepdaughter and labradoodle puppy.
Dr. Andrea Grilli
Is a second generation Colorado native and graduated from medical school and residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences in Denver with a specialty in cardiac anesthesia. She has practiced anesthesia in the metro Denver area for 21 years including primary specialties in cardiac and bariatric surgeries. She married her college sweetheart, has 2 grown children, 2 dogs, 10 chickens, 2 bee hives, a huge garden! In her spare time, she loves playing golf and compete in tournaments in multiple states.
Dr. Slattery, a native of South Dakota, is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who completed his undergraduate, graduate, and medical school studies at the University of South Dakota. He then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota for his anesthesiology residency at the University of Minnesota. He has been in private practice since 2008, first in Arizona and then in Denver at a large group practice before joining Prime Anesthesia. He enjoys all aspects of ambulatory anesthesia and is passionate about providing quality care to his patients. Dr. Slattery enjoys riding his mountain bike, golfing, and skiing. He loves living in Colorado with his wife Megan and their twin boys.
Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Kyle Strycker received his biology degree from Taylor University. He then completed medical school and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. After 10 years of private practice in South Bend, IN, Dr. Strycker moved to Colorado to be closer to family. Outside of Prime, Dr. Strycker enjoys traveling, marathon training, hiking, grilling, and spending time with his three children and extended family.
Dr. Mark Laurnen grew up in Seattle. After graduating from Whitman College, he attended the University of Washington School of Medicine. Following completion of an Anesthesiology residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center he remained in Denver where he has practiced clinical anesthesia for over three decades, including 18 years as Medical Director of a busy orthopedic surgery center. Dr. Laurnen has three grown sons and resides with his wife, Kathy, and two dogs in Evergreen. Dr. Laurnen spends his leisure time pursuing outdoor activities including biking, skiing, boating, fishing, hiking and hunting.
