On Saturday, October 14th, Linden Place is hosting @primarysourceorg at the mansion for a Historython Event! The morning will include two distinct walking tours of Bristol focused on African American history. One tour is focused on Bristol's ties to the transatlantic slave trade, the other will take visitors through Bristol's 19th century free Black neighborhood, New Goree. We authored Investigating History Grades 5-7, and are now offering multiple professional learning opportunities starting summer 2023 to support implementation of the new state curriculum. These live or hybrid program options provide a deep dive into the content, structure, and pedagogy of Investigating History. Sessions will include presentations from scholars and classroom practitioners, curriculum internalization with Primary Source program directors, and opportunities to work collaboratively with peers from around the state.
