boer‘s black-and-white photographs are sequences of self-portraits, mirrors to her own life and the objects that surround or transform her. Building on art historian research on feminist artist icons, De Boer employs her lens to explore both her own and society’s boundaries and perspectives on identity, sexuality, and womanhood through carefully composed and layered graphic and sculptural compositions.
‘Self Portrait 25’ by @loes.deboer was shown earlier this year as part of our Exhibition 2 — Lineage in Paris.

‘Under the Shadow of a Veiled Mountain’ is a photo series by @patrick_bienert
The series portrays youth shaped by history and resilience in the smaller villages along Armenia’s northern border with Azerbaijan. Decades of ongoing conflict with Azerbaijan have deeply impacted these communities. In some villages, homes still lack electricity and direct access to water. A recently signed peace agreement brings new hope for lasting peace and a sovereign identity.

Sikukuu captures a timeless Christmas tradition in Ahero, western Kenya. Three children, dressed in their finest, stand proudly in front of a local shop— an image rooted in the joyful rituals of the holiday season. Growing up in Kisumu, Kenya, this moment was everything: the excitement of heading to markets, fresh hairstyles, and brand-new clothes. It wasn’t about luxury—it was pride and presence. Sikukuu is a Swahili word that means ‘a special day’.
