my debut EP ‘Life Desire’ is out today! ✮⋆˙ A new voice emerges from the intersection of memory, experimentation, and raw self-exposure. Life Desire, the debut EP by Primal 3, marks the beginning of a deeply personal chapter for the artist, far different from the previous projects. Written and recorded over the past year between Los Angeles and Milan, Life Desire is a work shaped by movement, both physical and emotional. What began as scattered ideas and sketches in California gradually took form in Milan, where the EP was largely recorded and mixed using a blend of electric and acoustic guitars, bass, programmed drums, and layered strings. The result is a sound that feels both immediate and distant: a rediscovered artefact from the early 2000s. Echoing the spirit of basement recordings, rehearsal rooms, and formative musical explorations, Life Desire captures the essence of a band that never quite existed, yet somehow feels familiar. It channels the restless creativity of youth, when learning an instrument meant chasing something undefined but urgent. There is a sense of exposure running through Life Desire, but also excitement. Really happy to announce my debut EP ‘Life Desire’, under a new alias, Primal 3. I worked on these tracks over the past year, starting ideas in Los Angeles and finishing them in Milan. Most of it was recorded and mixed in my apartment, using electric and acoustic guitars, bass, programmed drums, and strings. In a way, it feels like a band I never had, like a forgotten CD from the early 2000s. Back when I was learning bass, recording in my basement, moving from one rehearsal room to another, chasing something I didn’t fully understand yet. This is also the first time I’m really stepping into vocals and lyrics. It feels a bit exposing, but also exciting. First single ‘Orange’ coming next week. Album out April 21, 2026. x
