Most kitchen renovations are assembled piece by piece.
This one was defined as a system.
This Park Slope co-op kitchen was resolved before construction began. Layout, appliances, cabinetry, and utilities were developed in relation to one another, rather than adjusted later once constraints became visible.
In many projects, these elements are coordinated during construction. Here, they were defined in advance.
This shifts decisions forward, where they are easier to control, instead of into construction, where they become more complex and costly.
The result is a kitchen where design intent carries through into execution.
